Hi fellow readers,

I hope life is treating you well. This is quite an exciting day for me. I have decided to change the format, name and content of my newsletters. If everything goes to plan, my newsletters will be more personal, more interesting, more varied and hopefully more useful to you, my subscribers.

Marketing Tip of the Day

Some of you may be aware that articles are an incredibly effective technique for driving traffic to your website. Not only will each article drive traffic when people click on your link in the resource box at the end of the article, but the article itself will also create a backlink to the site that it links to.

This backlink will strengthen your site in the eyes of the search engines and will be useful for the purpose of Search Engine Optimisation. Another great benefit of articles is that they will help to establish you as an expert in your niche.

I want to take it one step further though. When you write an article, you can do many things to get it OUT there. You should repurpose the article into a short video, a podcast, a slide presentation or perhaps an Instructable.

There are sites on the web that you can then freely submit your repurposed content to.

Each time, you should provide a link back to your site. You can then distribute your article to the best article directories using an article distribution service such as Submit Your Article or Unique Article Wizard.

You can also submit your article to free Web 2.0 sites such as Squidoo, Hubpages, Blogger and many many more. Don’t just write one article and forget it. It’s a waste of all your creative effort! Read the rest of this entry

Who wants to know the BIG picture?

Okay, I’ve been thinking about writing this post for a while.   What I really want to do is describe in one short post exactly how the internet gurus make their money.  Not a whole load of waffle and complicated theory.  Just one post that outlines all the main elements of a successful internet marketer’s business.

Not a newbie.  Not an intermediate level marketer but one that is at the top of their game.

The only problem is, I’m setting myself up to fail. Read the rest of this entry

Free Interview with John Thornhill

This morning I recorded an interview with John Thornhill who is a well known, well repected and well liked U.K. internet marketer.  John cut his teeth on Ebay and has since gone on to greater things.  In this interview John openly discusses how he started in internet marketing and provides some really excellent advice.  Here are some of the points that we cover:

  • The three traffic generation methods that John would choose if he had to start again from scratch
  • Where most people go wrong and what to do about it
  • How not to damage the relationship with your list
  • The most important activities to focus on when you start out
  • How he uses a blog to generate traffic and to brand himself

and much much more…..

If you’re a subscriber, you will already have been sent a link for the interview.  If you haven’t subscribed yet, now’s your chance.  Fill in the form on my sidebar and as soon as you confirm, you’ll get immediate access to the interview.

Please feel free to comment on the interview and post any questions you may have.

Robert Puddy LFMPire Weekend

Last weekend I attended a great Internet Marketing seminar in Bristol.  I came away buzzing and full of enthusiasm and ideas.  I also met some great people.  Some of them were already very successful, some were on the way and some were just at the beginning of their journey.  If you ever get a chance to attend one of Robert’s events (he holds them every year), then I strongly recommend it.

One of the hardest the things to do when you’re starting out is to maintain a posistive mindset, especially if you’ve been trying for a while without success or if you are feeling overwhelmed with all the information that you’re trying to get your head around.  When you meet other people that have been through the same experience as you but have made it, it really lifts the spirits and reinforces your belief in what is possible.
